Most of you probably know the story already.
One day this yellow octopus creature exploded the moon, and he became a teacher. It's up to the students of that class to assassinate the monster.
There's a surprising amount of life lessons in this story, most which are easily relatable. And the advice Koro-sensei gives are also solid.
This one's super cute. It's about how Mr Evil Alien, who came to conquer Earth, spends his time off.
The story is super straightforward, no major angst or anything. But it highlights the simple things in life that we take for granted when it's actually a great blessing that they even exist.
Yeonwoo, a timid pretty boy, has a crush on Hansol, the popular cool girl. Mostly comedy but as always, there's drama and trauma. The characters are well written and your heart just jumps for them! [Yup, I'm not gonna spoil anything, go read and cry as I did]
So basically, there's a lot of character development going on. Problems don't go away easily. Struggles don't always have a clear ending. So you have to put the effort to fix things, only then you can move on.
A compilation of stories about (marriage) life in Central Asia/North Africa/ Middle East (basically the Silk Road)
Gives a fresh perspective on less known cultures. It's telling "No, getting married is not everything, but that doesn't mean I won't marry. I am still the strong woman I was before. Being married does not oppress me in any way, it instead frees me"
[I especially like the story about Mrs Wife telling her husband to take her friend as his 2nd wife]
A story about a bullied, abused girl and her stalker/kidnapper, who escapes the city together. 10/10 recommend to read this.
God, I don't know how many times this made me reflect and appreciate my life rn. Family, money, studies, friends, health- they're far from ideal, but I'm grateful for what I have.
The story follows Kino and Hermes (the Motorrad) travels to different cities, all with different peculiarities and customs.
This story really reflect on reality and the many ideologies that we have. Each city shows how different laws/ government systems/ history/ relation with neighbors affect the society.
[I also recommend to watch the anime, there's a few cities which are depicted better there]
