I really love how this manga presents not just gender and sexuality but how complicated attraction is on top of being queer and defying societal convention.

The story very clearly has a theme of obtaining happiness as a queer person and the sacrifices you must make to have it lest you live as an empty shell of a person with your soul rotting inside you. Tgirls arc is reminiscent of i saw the tv glow so I think it’s well-done but like it’s sad.
