Toxic/problematic Manga

I neither think Sae nor Ryo should be forgiven. What they did were actual crimes. Some parts of Peach Girl were disturbing and made me furious, but I can’t say I wasn’t ”entertained”. I also really liked Momo’s character design and personality. I would’ve also really liked Kylie if it wasn’t for his lack of consent in the beginning of the manga. In some parts he’s actually really cute, and I think he and Momo has really good chemistry.

This manga is full with horrible, horrible people. There are no good options, and I could rant about everything wrong with this for DAYS. There’s just so much that is forgiven far too easily, and not even the ones who supposedly “cares” about her doesn’t care enough. She really has no one, but she doesn’t realize that. It’s sad.

Toxic ML who doesn’t care about FLs feeling at all. He’s humiliating, hurting and forcing hemself on her frequently. He’s one of the most selfish and narcissistic characters I’ve ever read about. He’s horrible, and I can’t in ANY way phantom why she would fall for him. But somehow she does I guess? She really deserves better.

On another note, I love that the translation is super british.

I actually like the MC and how she stands up for herself. I don’t think it makes sense for her to fall in love with the ML so easily considering her personality and strong morals. I like that the MLs are such weird losers, and I would think it was all really cute IF they weren't horrible human beings that treat people worse than trash. Overall, pretty entertaining! (But it did make me mad sometimes).

The ML really pisses me off. He’s actually the worst kind of person, and I don’t care if he gets some character development. This makes me so mad, but I hope that it’ll get a bit turned around and he’ll pine after her some before they get together. Also… the art style is hard to overlook. It actually is painful to look at.

Suprisingly, I actually think this ranks lower than hot gimmick to me? Hot gimmick was plenty messed up, but there was just something about this that was extra stupid and irritating. The male lead had absolutely NO rediming qualites. Like absolutely ZERO. He is not even good looking! He is dorky, stupid and an absolute ASSHOLE. The plot and everything is just STUPID and cliché. Even if this wasn’t problematic, it would still suck. The writing is actually atrocious.

I guess I can see why a lot of people like this one. It’s entertaining, has good writing and fairly good characters. (Though I get kind of bored at the sports parts. I couldn’t care less about basketball). BUT I don’t really understand why not more people see the male lead’s behavior as a bit, idk, problematic? He REALLY needs to learn what consent and boundaries are.

The ML makes me so mad I want to punch a wall. The fact that he is a pretty beloved character makes me even more mad. He’s a perverted, annoying stalker that thinks he can own someone. I really, really understand that this is just fiction but he just makes me annoyed.

16 and 24???! I'm younger than the male lead (19), and even I wouldn't date a 16 year old... they are kids???
