absolute favorites

MY FAVORITE FUCKING THING EVER, their love is UNBEATABLE and their story is TRAGIC AND HEARTWARMING. the amount of love that hua cheng and xie lian show is just completely unreal and it is so so so perfect.

i dont think u understand how much a fucking sobbed reading this like i knew it was going to happen yet i sitll had hope and then it happened and i sobbed

this story is perfectly paced and each character is so understandable. i love this story so so much and the mc is everything i want in a mc.

i dont know how someone can fit so much information and characterization into this small story but UPI DID AND ATE because this story is so much more than a love story, it's about two people who find each other at their lowest but at different times yet still stick together. it is beautiful.

THE PLOT and the shift in their dynamic is everything. what happened to christoph and ryan at the end rubbed me the wrong way but i also understand where ryan is coming from. it was a very skewed pov and his decision def should not have been made by just him and it's a show of his privilege but that's also just a part of the story.

even though i hate love triangles (like actually hate them smsmsmsm) this didn't FEEL like a love triangle even though it was. the mc and the two mls are all suffering with their own issues and everyone in this story is morally gray (some are a darker shade of gray..) but that's what makes it so interesting.. how can two people who are both trying to heal yet continuously being brought down find themselves in each other? and i hate to say this bc i LOVED the 2nd ml but he was the perf

i cried so mf hard while reading this. how can such beautiful characters go through such tragic things

honestly i don't know what it is about this but i think it's how their relationship developed and how they BOTH hurt each other, healed, and then got back together.. the development of their communication is TOP NOTCH and i love.
