It's unfortunate that some people weren't able to get over some of the character choices. The story is complex, there's generally more to people than one choice they make, like in this case where they show us the behind the scenes and explain character motivations.
I wasn't a fan of the b plot with the sister-in-law especially towards the end, the author seemed to be though...
I'd consider this a good read, nice to look at with clumsy pacing and rushed ending in my opi
