thee blueprint. gaslight, gatekeep, gayboss (?)
it’s harada, so nothing came rly as a surprise. i like arrogant tops who get pegged down a notch. there are glimpses of this throughout. rly elevated the narrative for me.
this is not going to be for everyone.
tbqh i don’t usually like watase yuu’s works. they just are peak trashy shoujo to me. sakura gai is not that much better than than their usual stuff, but it could be worse. they /did/ write alice 19th.
i think sakura gai has its moments, notably nearing its end. it’s overall just trashy 90s shoujo in grown up disguise, though. regardless, the “top” is quite obsessed. and i did get smth out of my reading experience. bless.
top is obsessed, yadda yadda. very standard plot. i don’t like the side couple. aside from that, i don’t really have anything meaningful to say. but the characters are definitely based on xiuhan. 100%!
oda locked tf in. obsessive top whose whole life revolves around bottom. we stan,, question mark. the main plot is super interesting in the beginning, but the focus shifts to romance. i actually really enjoyed this, but i’m under no false pretenses. this is b tier shlock.
this story is so confusing. i don’t know whether to feel annoyed, or just turn my brain off and enjoy the ride. there are better written, better drawn obsessive tops, but i feel like we are entering a toxic bl recession. so anything mildly interesting does it for me, personally.
top, while obsessed, is pushy, crosses boundaries in a very unsexy way. but his scar’s cute(?) it’s an indulgent read, fosho.
okay, wig. this is a very solid 9/10 for me. plot, art & characters are great. there’s narrative play. & while it’s a bit of a slow burn, the top very adorably stakes his claim.
the only problem i have with this, & it’s a very minor gripe i have with the bl genre in general, is that the characters are very flat. they have no real lives outside of being besotted. the bottom had a really strong start with readers being given a glimpse into his career. but that’s quickly waved away. it’s bl, wtv.
this is so excessively dramatic. plot is a mess, but it’s oddly entertaining. top is very obsessive, very possessive.
not much to say besides: 10/10. im choosing to say yes to gorgeous men with mental disorders.
