Having always dreamed of finding the ruins of lost city of Rowadis, Prince Uriel sneak out to join an excavation party. While at the site, the Seldira clan arrives to arrest the party for stealing excavated articles and Uriel gets captured. Uriel wakes up to find the leader of the Seldira clan, Ald and he quickly takes interest in Uriel. The two grow closer as they travel through the desert to Rosa.

Herve has always been the doting butler of prince Uriel. When Uriel moved to a foreign country to be with Cheif Ald, Herve moved with him. No longer needing to take care of Uriel, Herve amuses himself by sleeping with Ald's subordinate Vadis, instead. After 3 years, the two are still together, but, since Vadis never expresses his thoughts or feelings, Herve feels something is missing. One day, merchant Tarjeel claims to have fallen for Herve, after being saved by him.

Ch.6: Taki is in love with playboy Shoutarou, who spends time in Taki's room when he's not fooling around. When Shoutarou drunkenly and mistakenly comes onto Taki, Taki offers his body to Shoutarou. In the morning, Taki regrets his decision
Showa Era, 1941. Heir of the Kuramoto family, Soutaro, has just returned to Japan after living in Germany for the past few years. While looking for his estranged childhood friend Haruomi, heir of a famous family of traditional dancers, wanting to reconcile, Soutarou discovers he occasionally dances at an exclusive restaurant, Tachibana. Desiring to both apologize to Haruomi and see his beautiful dancing once again, Soutaro begins working as a servant at the restaurant, hiding his true identity.
While foraging in the mountains, the village outcast Sakichi discovers a demon baby, Aka. Unable to abandon him, Sakichi brings Aka home, intending to raise him as a human. However, even after years together, Aka is unable to learn to speak and begins to show me demon-like traits. Afraid he's not what is best for Aka, Sakichi leaves him in the mountains once again. 7 years later, Sakichi is unable to forget Aka and returns to the mountains in search of him.

Ch.4-6: Rintarou works hard to take care of his sick mother. When he hears a rumor about a pond with huge fish, Rintarou sneaks into the forest, despite warnings of a demon. After being discovered by the fox demon, instead of being eaten, Rintarou receives his help. Though Rintarou wants to thank him, the fox refuses to speak with him. Rintarou continues to return to the forest, slowly wearing down the fox's resolve
