Firstly, this is soooo funny. FL is effortlessly hillarious and her dynamic with ML is very cute. Even though the plot is quite dark, FL's positive & quirky demeanor is able to cover it. The art is also top-notch and uses bright color pallete so it feels lighter. I love watching their everyday life and seeing a man, completely broken and crippled by the horrors of war to the point of believing he’s an animal, slowly discovering emotions and what it means to be human.
This manga shows how simple, everyday moments can hold so much meaning. It’s about a boy who’s lost his passion and a girl who’s vibrant. When they meet, the boys view of the world begins to change. The story follows the two of them growing closer as she tries to recruit him as the second member of the “hyper go-home club,” every walk home is an adventure, and I love how the author uses quiet, mundane moments to naturally and realistically build their relationship.a
The art is gorgeous. blends an early 2000s vibe with a modern style seamlessly. I adore Naruse and his banter with Yuki. their dynamic is so much fun to read! Despite being the “cool boy,” Naruse gets so flustered and blushy around Yuki sometimes, and it’s absolutely adorable. It’s a fast burn in terms of the confession and how quickly they get together, but the story barely ever gets dull, even with how long the manga has been running and how long they’ve been a
they matched each others freaks like no other could. seriously
One of my favorite feel good mangas I'd suggest reading if you're feeling sad. It's very sweet, funny, and romantic. I love this one. It's so wholesome and it'll make you happy if you have any semblance of a heart or believe in love whatsoever. This is shoujo as shoujo gets, but what sets it apart is that it’s straight romance for the sake of romance, no drama. It’s just fresh, clean, and adorably sweet
The world of a shojo male lead collides head-on with a martial arts manga heroine!! This has so much delightful chaos and a feel-good romantic comedy. The story balances humor and charm perfectly, as two wildly different characters navigate their clashing worlds and fall in love(albeit slowly). It’s lighthearted and funny, and definitely perfect for when you’re in the mood for a chill, uplifting read.
THE classic shojo manga. If you know shojo, you know this one. While I do enjoy the romance, it’s the female characters and their relationships that truly stand out. It’s girls being girls. they subvert the “evil popular girl” trope to them forming a bond that starts over a boy but grows into real respect and affection. It feels like girlhood and petty high school in the best way, and it gives me such a warm, fuzzy feeling. it’s definitely worth reading!
This manhwa can do no wrong in my eyes. It’s my personal love scripture, and something I’ll always return to when I feel lost. The GOAT. Utterly perfect. I have no idea how many times I've reread this but it must be in the hundreds. Honestly, it took me WAY too long to read this because I assumed it’d be boring and the art style felt too preppy for me, but god, I’m so glad I gave it a chance. They’re so perfect for each other genuinely the most iconic duo.
The ML is obsessed, like, deeply. It’s not super healthy, but it’s addicting. There’s something thrilling about obsession. having someone infatuated with you, putting your happiness above everything else. But the more you read, the more concerningly sad it feels. his trauma is slowly revealed, and the FL heals something in him. she’s so mentally healthy and strong. she’s stable, communicative and watching them grow together is so emotional. they put in the WORK. my
This is a charming, lighthearted slice-of-life manga that really won me over! It follows an anxious human teen at a school for both humans and mythfolk, where he meets Tsumiki, an effortlessly cool and charming werewolf girl. Their relationship gives girl-boss and male-wife vibes
The premise feels really fresh, the supporting cast is super funny and endearing (special shoutout to Senga, who really grew on me), and the art style is cute and expressive, perfectly fitting the gentle tone.

though i’d also be happy to discuss stupid stuff
Please feel free to ask questions about any of the manga on this list!!!! seriously, I would love it! I’m a massive ranter at heart, and there’s just never enough room in the review section to say everything I want to say. Cutting my thoughts down to a few lines is honestly PAINFUL sometimes, because I have so much bursting love for these stories and characters, and I always want to scream about them in full detail. If there’s a series you’re curious about, something in a review that stood out to you, or even if you just want to chat about a story we both love. I would be absolutely overjoyed to talk.
