If you haven’t read Ouran High School Host Club, literally what are you doing with your life? i watch the anime over 12+ times per year, and no matter how sad you are I can almost guarantee even a sliver of happiness when you're with the host club. It was TRULY ahead of its time. The two main leads are incredible and so unique. THE blueprint. Ouran pays tribute to every manga stereotype but cleverly subverts just enough to keep it fresh. read it. join us
Akane is such a refreshing main character. She's so relatable and I love all her worries and inner dialogue. So lovable!!! No annoying and unecessary tropes, no sabotaging of the relationship because of insecurities. But I also love how we get to see their imperfections later in the story. The side characters keep evolving, and I love all the little subplots and connections between them. This story is already amazing, but it just keeps evolving and getting even better with every chapter!!!!
What if an ‘NPC’ got their own love story?
This is for anyone who’s ever dreamed of romance but felt too unlovable, too “ugly,” or too much of a side character to even hope for it. Tabata completely surpassed my expectations as a character. I thought she’d be trapped in her insecurities, too scared to change, but she keeps choosing growth. she keeps growing into her own skin and self love. The confession scene shattered me. It hit way too close to home. And t
A Silent Voice tackles bullying, ignorance, and the pressure to fit in with raw honesty. It shows how easily anyone, including the sweet, “harmless” kid can become a bully or a silent bystander. it’s insane how deeply the series explores its characters. Each one is forced to confront their past and take responsibility, and the emotional weight of that is so real. Shouya’s path to redemption is one of the most moving arcs I’ve read. it’s about guilt, forgivenes
Such a cute slice-of-life! I absolutely love the concept. you don’t come across many romances about witches, and it feels like a rare gem. I really enjoyed this and would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a lighthearted read with a gorgeous, aesthetic art style. fantasy romance for the win!!!
So, so cute.I wasn’t expecting to like this as much as I did It’s refreshing to see a male lead who falls first, confesses early, and openly says “I love you way more.” He’s just so sincere and adorable with his feelings.
And I love the FL. She knows she falls too easily and misreads people’s intentions, but she stays true to herself. she never pretends to be someone she’s not. Watching her be loved fully and genuinely for exactly who she is made my
This had such a nostalgic feel! Nothing REALLY stood out in a huge way, but I really loved it because of the female lead. She’s hilarious, independent, and totally does her own thing. just a genuinely cool character. I kept reading just to see what she’d do next, and that made it such an enjoyable read. she’s 100% the best thing about this manga.
I love their dynamic so much. It’s a SUPER funny, cute, and beautifully drawn story. I especially love how their appearances completely throw you off. it’s such a great subversion of typical tropes. I enjoyed this so freaking much and can’t wait for the next season!!!! ugh the characters are great too. obsessed with a good rom-com
God, this was devastating. It draws you in with their hilarious, adorable dynamic,, then hits you like a truck with her backstory. I just want them to be safe and happy together, far away from all the pain. Reading what she went through left a pit in my stomach. it’s heartbreakingly tragic.
Btw, what is it with stories making characters be “soulmates all along” who had a secret past together that they both forgot. I don’t really like that trope, but this did it right

though i’d also be happy to discuss stupid stuff
Please feel free to ask questions about any of the manga on this list!!!! seriously, I would love it! I’m a massive ranter at heart, and there’s just never enough room in the review section to say everything I want to say. Cutting my thoughts down to a few lines is honestly PAINFUL sometimes, because I have so much bursting love for these stories and characters, and I always want to scream about them in full detail. If there’s a series you’re curious about, something in a review that stood out to you, or even if you just want to chat about a story we both love. I would be absolutely overjoyed to talk.
