Since he was a child, Keiji has been able to see the red string of fate. One day, Keiji notices his own string has suddenly been tied to someone, but when he follows it the other end is tied to a man. The man turns out to be a popular underclassman name Hiro. No matter what Keiji does they keep running into each other and even when he rejects Hiro, he doesn't give up.

Kamisawa was born with the ability to see and cut the strings that bond people, but, due to having this ability, he doesn't have his own red string of fate. After completing a job to a string binding his client Hara to his stalker, Hara falls in love with Kamisawa, but, not wanting to get hurt when Hara's red string connects to his fated person, Kamisawa draws the line at sex friends.

Saika has the ability to hear other peoples' thoughts. Due to his avoided, delinquent-looking classmate Yamada's loud thoughts of wanting a friend, Saika befriends him hoping to quiet him down. Instead, Yamada becomes overly attached to Saika and Saika begins hearing his thought of love everyday.

Dengo is able to transmit his thoughts into others' minds. Dengo is suddenly approached by Rentaro, who yells at Dengo for being too loud. Apparently, Rentaro has been able to hear Dengo's, and only Dengo's, thoughts, despite Dengo not using his ability, since moving there. When Dengo gets lost in thought, Rentaro suddenly kisses him to stop his noisiness and then suggests they get to know each other by going out.

Yui is skeptical, but things keep happening just as Amemori dreamed, he even kisses Amemori on the exact date and time Amemori said he would. But, Yui begins to worry when he starts having dreams of Amemori's death.

Hayashida has the ability to hear the innervoice of others and dreams of meeting his fated one, someone whose thoughts he can't hear. When that person turns out to be soccer captain Kogi, he begins watching the soccer field next to boob-loving senpai Mori, but after confessing to Kogi, Hayashida is harshly rejected. While skipping to avoid the hateful thoughts spurned on by the rumors of Hayashida's confession, Hayashida gets closer with Mori, whose words and innervoice are always forthright

After Amane's ability to hear others' thoughts through his bare hands was learned, Amane and his mother were cast out of the village. After 3 years of living in the forest, Amane's mother dies. Then, alone with only his animal friends for 6 years, Amane is rescued, after falling from a cliff, by a traveling herbalist with a red eye, Kisaragi, who was led there by Amane's friend wild dog Riku. The two grow close as Kisaragi stays with Amane, but Amane is afraid of Kisaragi discovering his ability

Neo's life was ruined by Maki, a mysterious senpai, who would kiss Neo with salty caramels then ignore him causing him to be unable to date or trust others. Ten years later, he receives an invitation to Maki's wedding and decides to go to get revenge, but on the way he gets hit by a car. When he wakes up, Neo has time traveled to his high school days and has become a mini-spirit version of himself. Now, 30 years old Neo must work with 15 year old Neo to change their future.
