This is my #1 BL manga, up there with Horimiya and Wotaku.
I read this back when I was only in Grade 7 and it had only 17 chapters. I kept rereading, probably like more than 5 times already. This was what made me realize how a lot of BL stories lack the inner dialogue, pacing, plot, and pining. I also realized how I love seeing yearning men in manga. I love how partners are so cringely whipped and devoted to their lovers. I ALSO LOVE THE "IDC-ABOUT-ANYONE-ELSE-EXCEPT-YOU" TROPE!!!
Polar opposites who are fuck buddies become more than that.
So comforting!! I love how there weren't explicit sex scenes that made you focus on the character dynamic between the two and their story. I find that BL manga tend to gloss over the emotional aspect and lack the emotional depth in love and relationships—but this is full of that!!! YES, GIVE ME THEIR INNER DIALOGUE! YES, GIVE ME YEARNING MEN AND NONVERBAL REACTIONS!!!!
An extra of the previous one.
Popular girl and unpopular guy discovers each other's secrets. Their life begins to entertwine then.
Consider this as one of the earliest mangas I read that became an all-time fav. It still holds true till today.
Nothing can top this manga. It's literally every otaku's 'bible' (or at least how I can call it). It's perfect in every way, wish it had more chapters though. TT
Perfect story. I love each and every single character in here. So much depth. So much complexity. I love Mitsumi and Shima :'))
Perfect coming-of-age story!!! NOTHING MORE TO SAY. JUST READ IT. ONE OF MY FAVS!!!
This is so cute. The plot was everything to me. I wish more mangas had this kind of flow and concept. I wish it had more chapters though. Overall, it was such a light read. Izumo actually being an affectionate softie in contrast to his indifferent demeanor is just chef's kiss. No unnecessary drama. Love this one so much. Yamabuki is so cute too.
What happens if an NPC gets their own love story?
This is for those who have always wanted to have their own romance, but thinks they're too unlikable and "ugly" to even yearn for one. Tabata exceeded my expectations. I thought she would be more reluctant to change and too "insecure" that it's fully annoying, but she's actually willing to change for the better. The confession scene broke my heart; it was so relatable.
Guy gets injured all the freaking time and Yoshida, the class president, always takes care of him as much as she can.
Actually pleasantly surprised that it didn't took 100 chapters for romance to happen. I like how Yano is such a no-bullshit character and is actually direct with his feelings. Art style is such eye candy too.
10/10
Girl gets reincarnated as a villain and has to make the demon king fall in love with her to avoid the worst route that meant her getting killed.
One of the only few reincarnated villainess stories that I actually liked. This was so good that I could reread it and still wouldn't get bored of it. One of my comfort reads.
