Reconnection, angst, found family
An Amish boy on Rumspringa and a closeted gay attorney fall in love in 1970's New York. The author excellently explores themes of homophobia, religious guilt, and dreams and ambitions. It's one of the best works I've ever read, but I knocked off half a point because the age gap is 34-19.
