Cute, but i got bored. They got together too fast to my liking, and I didn't like the trait where Hori wants Miyamura to hurt her, talk down to her, be rough with her. The story plays it partly for comedy, which is awful. It's framed so ambiguously that it just sits there unresolved. i had a problem sith Hori overall.
The cast also got shortchanged. Characters like Ishikawa and Yoshikawa have genuinely interesting emotional arcs that keep getting interrupted to return focus to HoriMiya

NOTHING can make me like Usui. And the fact that she was a man hater, but still settled for the weirdest, easily disliked man is so weird to me. Being a man hater and not being creeped out by someone who's OBVIOUSLY harassing her makes no sense at all and is so out of character tbh.

Boss & secretary, alpha & omega, every axis of power runs in Keith's favor. He assaults Yeonwoo while using pheromones as cover, & tells him to apologize to the men who tried to assault him for escaping. The heat cycle mechanic exists here almost entirely to give Keith an excuse. The story eventually pivots to him feeling guilty, becoming a good husband+father, but it's never earned through change, & the narrative rewards him with exactly what he wanted all along anw.

Denji is an mc with no interiority that develops. His wants are deliberately simple. That's framed as commentary on poverty+low expectations.
Female characters exist almost entirely as instruments of his suffering.
Themes are stated rather than dramatized. It gestures at things like exploitation, the weaponization of desire, but it isn't the same as exploring. ex, Makima's whole philosophy about control & freedom is fascinating on paper & unexplored in practice.

Meh. Nothing is good about these besides for the artstyle.

This PISSED ME OFF so bad. I hate everyone and everything, even the art is ugly. Nothing gives it a passing point, NOTHING. The seme is abusive and manipulative asf (we been knew), and the uke is too much of a crybaby than to realize that. Like BROTHER, he's insane, what are you even doing?

Wtf... The plot is pretty weird and the characters aren't even that great. It's just sex and a failed attempt to make a plot out of it.
The art is also shit.

I use this to save myself from toxic relationships, especially friendships. If one of their faves or ult fav is Painter of the night, I instantly draw myself out of the picture. That's how BAD it is! It's so bad, i use it as a standard to avoid toxicity.
