f/f retelling of the folktale A Tale Of Shim Cheong! This is lovely and probably one of my favorite GL webtoons so far, omg. It's about a beggar/thief girl who falls for the minister's new young wife. It's sweet and I have a feeling this isn't going to have a happy ending, but it is so good re: historical class difference romance.
GL workplace romcom about two women named Yuna. I didn't expect to like this one - I picked it up on a whim, since it's a one of the GL series out there not about high schoolers - and I actually love it! I love how both of their personalities contrast, and how the webtoon just has a silly, dorky, relatable feel to it.
It's about a world where 'flower maidens' are omega-type of women who go into heat ('blossoming') every month. They have to fuck a woman during that time period, while a flower mark covers their skin. Flower maidens usually die very young and they're trained to be courtesans. Dohwa/Hyewon!!!!
The art is nice, stark black and white with color panels for certain moments. And it's a psychological GL webtoon about obsessive teenagers and one-sided or futile love, yes pls. Has a side m/m couple. "Once a person falls in love, even if you're walking on clouds, the next moment, you're spiraling into hell."
Cute historical romance webtoon about an English businesswoman who runs a tea company and her maid. Not much conflict, but it's very sweet and I really want to drink tea and eat the desserts that were mentioned now. /o Nice art, too.
It's about a group of witches who live together. There's plot and touches of worldbuilding - witch hunters and time traveling are involved! - and genuinely funny humor.
There is canon f/f between the witches, but it's also about their friendship. The back and forth dialogue cracks me up and I just love all of them.
Manhua GL. It's pretty short, has lush watercolors, about a romance between an older doctor and a young schoolgirl. The art is stunning, and I wish there was more characterization about the girl, since it seemed to hint at her having a bad home life or tragic past, but didn't do anything with that.
Not much has happened yet, but the art is this lovely soft style. It's about a bunch of girls in a magic school who have different types of powers.
GL and het webtoon. f/f romance is between a loan shark and a college student; f/m is between a flower shop owner and a new shop worker. The het plot is kind of boring - in contrast to the loan shark who has her own side plot with her shady brother who has criminal ties! I wish this felt more substantive. The f/f couple is cute, but I don't completely feel it. Maybe it's just that the halving the story with the het plot means there just isn't enough development?
This has...a lot of dead lesbians, RIP. But it nevertheless makes me pleased to see the conventional 'angsty tortured detective tries to figure out who killed his fridged wife/girlfriend' plot, with f/f involved instead. The art is amazing and the ending is brutal.
