my favorite female leads

— she's so interesting as a character, despite finding herself in such a disappointing situation the way she reacts feels unique compared to other fl's in such situations, instead of lazing around or acting immature she uses her skills and intellect to secure a high position and even attempts to overthrone her supposedly dead father which isn't smth I've seen in any stories so far, I love reading her slowly yearning and getting affection from those close to her.

— I've never seen a female lead say "it is what it is" I love this take on the cliche sister vs sister abusive family trope and I like how the fl handles things, she's very relatable in the sense of wanting normalcy in an odd society, the way she handles the ml is funny too he's gotta a lot of work to do if he wants her to fall in love lol.

— although her excessive insecurity is a bit cringe, though given her circumstances very valid, I find her very charming, she's very mature and oddly motherly, I love her stubborness, even if it's out of self doubt, to not marry him, she's also very pretty in a realistic way compared to other female leads, she has a very simple style that comes off as refined and elegant.

— obviously had to immediately add this lovely girl to the list the second I learned how relatable she was, Irene is one of those characters that I really do think is implied autistic or at least her writing is inspired by or relates to autistic traits, her straightforward way of communicating and interest in the medical field is just bonus after bonus for her character.
