Here are manga of historical genre. You won't find fantasy. I won't put just any historical manga. They have to be truthful to their timelines and I won't stand glorification of Japan. I'm mostly interested in European history. Asia can rest. Ooku is the only manga that will have alternate history as its primary genre. No yaoi/shounen ai nor yuri/shoujo ai. If two men/women kiss etc, it's because historical sources say so, not because of author's decision nor preferences.
When we talk about gods, of course there has to be a little of fantasy thrown in. Those kind of gods were made of human imagination. This is a bit of insight on The Kidnapping of Ganymede legend.
