This actually surprised me. It’s very heavy on the drama, which isn’t common for Guideverse. Other Guideverse plots I’ve read focus mostly on the relationship between the two male leads and them being an Esper or Guide, this one has a very well written plot. There’s a lot of mystery that is slowly being uncovered.

I haven’t read a guideverse before, so it was really confusing. I had to look up what guideverse is and even then I didn’t totally understand it. I think a quick explanation of it before the story started would’ve been helpful. Other than that, the main couple is cute and not toxic, and the art is good.

I like how the author did their own spin on the Guideverse genre. It starts off explaining how espers and guides came to be; they used angel DNA to develop new humans, ones with supernatural abilities, known as espers, and guides who could use their pheromones to calm. The only thing I question is how susceptible Eve (Michael) is to Adam’s influence. Adam is the first human who has treated Eve nicely.

It basically is just a plot for gang rape. The male lead is just treated inhumanly in every chapter. It’s assault, after rape, after gang rape, again and again. I don’t see how anyone could ever recover from that kind of treatment, especially falling in love with your abuser. At some point, he should’ve just left.

It started off rocky, but once the male lead lost his memory it got better because of how different his personality became. It’s such an intriguing storyline. I can’t wait to find out if/when the male lead gets his memory and powers back and what happens between him and his guide then.

It’s interesting. I haven’t seen another Guideverse with reincarnation yet.
