ML toys with FL — after he finds out he she was his first love from childhood who lied then upped and left him (wasn’t that deep). She ends up in a situation where she has a “fake” ex boyfriend which nerves the ML.

ML rejects FL — his best friend whom she had a fake relationship with suggests they date for real with the intention she ends up liking him instead. ML has mixed emotions and realises he does reciprocate her feelings. He feels bad for his bestie but he can’t give her up and ends up meddling in between their relationship.

The jealousy and chasing arc wasn’t satisfying because she had no backbone and still thought of the ml, her entire relationship with shirotaki.
