Sloane and Dex are both hot AF, and they're two openly gay men who are secure in their sexuality. Their chemistry is INSANE, Dex is such a power bottom and I live for it. He's a stand-out character for me - a competent, confident badass who's also just a total sunshine goober.

The cover makes it seem like a smutty smut-fest but it’s actually a really good story. It’s hot, hilarious, has a great group of found family, AND IT HAS DAESHIK. My king, long may he reign.

The most mature communication and thorough consent I think I’ve ever seen. Definitely the healthiest depiction of BDSM I’ve seen in yaoi - comparing it to others makes it very clear how much “bdsm” we see is just abuse masquerading as kink. Bless this breath of fresh air.

This story feels very real. It's beautifully written and things develop at a satisfying pace. There's some angst of course, but even when it frustrated me I did actually understand it. It's uncensored, but more intimate than porny. And there are ZERO consent issues. Everything is mutually enjoyable and fairly realistic. They even have normal-sized dicks instead of two liter soda bottle battering rams! Bonus points for both MCs being established gay men. Truly a gem.
