The type of office romance I’m all for!! Well written, sweet, nuanced and to the point, this story left no crumbs !!
It's a story with a classic sort of feel, mired in laughter and joy, and hidden within is a charming and wonderful tale. The coherent plot, the love & depth of japanese folklore, and intrigue set it apart. The anime's great too but it's more of a derivative than an adaption, so do with that what you will. If you do decide to invest your time though, you're in for a treat, it's 100% worth it! <3<3 the remaining 2 (14/15)volumes are translated on ruthlessnightscans tumblr page
I won’t say every story or even most of them are more than plot what plot stories, but the sheer scale of the uploads and the variety keeps me seated. It also helps this happens to be my favorite ship in jjk. It’s always a joy to see a new chapter and a fun gamble to see whether a it’s going to be a prized gem or a good time. Either way it’s fun, but for your mental health ,stay away from the comments, it’s a shitstorm.
In this story we’re at the crossroads where gods still walk among men. We follow a small journey through its various quirks and charms questioning the pillars that uphold this world and the overall meaning. This story is far more philosophical and complex than I gave it credit for. An enrapturing tale seeking a deeper answer within its lines
Parallel universes, tragedy encircling, desperation surmounting. Amongst all that two lost souls find similar but different solaces than what used to warm them. A story riding on hope for the future, despite the tragedy pulling them down. It’s going to build into something beautiful, I’m sure of it!!
Traversing another story about passion, we follow our cast of characters’ journeys through piano, and unlike most it’s not hopeful and inspiring. Rather it painstakingly plays out what the journey for perfection does to young talents, how ego warps everything and ultimately how sustained irrational pressure causes the important things to crumble. The BL is flavor enhancer to this decadence of story, and I’m here all for it!
This story is so fucking creepy it was such a mistake to read at night… I lament my nightmares, but the storytelling was so good!!! Ahh so much text but the tension was palpable, uncuttable by any blade. That was a thrilling throat parching experience if nothing else…I’m not going to get good sleep am I…but it was worth it.
It is a bit corny but nevertheless a genuinely fun suspenseful mystery thriller! I like all the twists and the very action oriented plot, and outside of the periodical plot, the grander narrative is shaping up into something nice! But I really do hope hidaka ain’t that bad of a guy, cause a buddy cop isn’t as fun if no bond is formed, no matter the outcome. An easy fun time!
I’ve always loved this series since I was a kid and each time I’ve read it, it’s been a memorable and enjoyable time. The full version exists, but this had master collection is much easier to read. I don’t know how to describe but it’s a mighty good time( also completely down with DxLeon, though I might be the only one, )
I think I’m astounded by how much better this story’s gotten. Gaiden was good but simple and the prequel was meh, but this story ramped everything up to 11. The characterisations, complex moral quandaries, and the likeable cast just stop me with my foot in my mouth. The prequel set up the issues the world has, and the fact there’s no clear solution to any of them but to continue the journey is both disheartening and hopeful. I’m really happy I picked this up!

Thank you for saying so, it makes me happy if my thoughts pique your interest even the slightest so that eventually you may pick up the story. It always makes me happy to talk about what I found fun.
About efforts never betray, I looked at the story and it does seem a while back I read it(left a rating and everything) but I must’ve blocked it from my mind. I took a once over because of your suggestion and I think I have an inkling why. It’s genuinely anxiety inducing, although despite how well written the psychological mindscape was of the characters, especially that of our MC, I think it left a bitter taste in my mouth. I get the realism of the ending and I accept it but I can’t really quite stomach the cruelty… The imagery and the rough lines, the way we never do see the father’s face because he’s perceived by our Mc in such a way where he feels he’s this amalgamation of fears that he can’t reason or understand is such a wonderful presentation of the undercurrent of hysteria, trauma and fear.
What did you think about if I may ask?
