Great depiction of smiling and masking the pain. A lot of manwhas or fiction writing that has regression concepts fail to represent the pain of dying and coming back only to be at square one again and again. Having everyone around you to forget every brick and your relationship with them hurts more than you think.
Honestly I sped through this bc I read it on a school night, but I still cried my heart out. I barely understood anything and somehow still hurt sm. I’ve yet to reread it to understand it bc the scars have yet to heal
