Wow. This is just a good series, I've cried and really felt attached to the characters. Though this does deal with heavy themes such as rape and child abuse, it showcases it incredibly realistic way and makes you feel awful and sympathetic towards Gilbert(Protagonist) I would say Kaze To Ki No Uta is a book every bl fan needs to read. Though I personally call the series "Kaze To Cry". Side note: One of the first bl manga.
A masterpiece in the bl genre and it beautifully blends together an interesting, well thought out plot and world and the slow burn love, blossoming between Shion and Rat. The series had me at tears, laughter and a deep love towards all the fleshed out characters. Words can't describe my love for this series and I have reread it many times. 10/10 series.
This series has a great ways of depicting discovering and the issues of going through sexuality problems. You could easily relate to both of the main characters and it left me emotional but, satisfied with the ending. It also gives an interesting twist of the cross-dressing sub genre of bl.
Man, the first chapter left me crying and in already in love with the cast of characters and particularity the colorful personalities of the main characters. The relationship between the two protagonists is interesting and makes you wishing for more interactions between them. The art style is very nice and the quirky chibi designs that the manga occasionally uses are great as well.
Yamaoto Kotetsuko always manages to create amazing bl scenarios, stories and art and Honto Yajuu is my personal favorite of her works since it's one of the funniest bl manga I have read. The series has left me crying in laughter and it also made me seriously attached to the yaoi boys. Their relationship is funny and reminds me low-key an old married couple and I love it. The plot line is also just great, cute yakuza boy x chill policeman.
Let Dai showcases depression, mental illnesses and how to move over things in a beautiful way. The relationships felt real and I felt like I was in the story as I read it. I really enjoyed the love between the main characters as it slowly develops to love through the circumstances. The story definitely is a sad one and had me bawling my eyes out over one particular story event. I really recommend this to anyone who loves tragedy and psychological shounen ai.
Anything by Yamamoto Kotetsuko I love, so Lucky Number 13 is no exception. It's a sweet, fluffy story that is great to read when you need to rewind and relax. Though the story is basic with anyone who the uke dates gets bad luck. But the story still manages to charm me with the cute incidents in the manga.
