probably the best read of my life… i finished book 1 of the novel 4 years ago and genuinely nothing has topped tcf since. absolute must-read.
cale is my all-time favorite character, i connect with him on a spiritual level fr. the story, the characters, the fight scenes, everything is executed so well. hands down the best i’ve read in this genre.

genuinely one of the best novels i’ve read. insane worldbuilding and a power system that’s just chef’s kiss. adding this even though the manhua is discontinued because the novel alone is worth it. the only reason this ranks slightly lower than tcf for me is bc i just like cale more as an mc. objectively though? lotm is peak.

victorian vibes again, not sorry. worldbuilding is insane and the plot is actually wild, full of twists. mc is solid, pacing is smooth, easy read. also has an anime, which is a nice bonus

it’s not tagged harem but it might as well be with the sheer amount of men orbiting yoojin. the story’s solid, but the characters are easily my favorite part. also it’s genuinely funny lmao
edit: it’s actually tagged shounen-ai subplot on novelupdates now. we won.

mc is op but can’t use skills in his new body, yet everyone still thinks he’s strong because of a bunch of misunderstandings. i seriously recommend checking out the novel if you wanna see giryeo actually grow stronger. it takes a bit, but i swear it’s worth the wait.

deon is way too caught up in “other stuff” to even think about romance. honestly, i love him, probably one of the most complex mcs on this list. the plot hits hard and i love how everything in this manhwa just fits together perfectly. just wish it was longer lmao (i’d suffer more but it’d totally be worth it…)

removed my previous review just to say this… the manhwa’s starting to veer off from the novel and adding scenes that were never there in the first place. there’s some borderline romance stuff creeping in too, and i’m really hoping it doesn’t turn into anything because the novel never went that route.

there’s only so much royalty isekai that isn’t romance-focused, and this is one of the few that actually commits. rated this high mostly because it’s rare and the art is genuinely scrumptious. story’s interesting, characters are interesting. no complaints.

another absolute banger getting the manhwa adaptation it deserves. no romance, has top-tier bromance, an insanely fun misunderstanding trope, and an overpowered mc who actually lives up to the hype. if you're into action, comedy, and chaotic misunderstandings, you're gonna eat this up. easily one of the best adaptations out there already. do yourself a favor and read it.
