I went in expecting the usual dynamic: uke crushing hard, seme forcing intimacy, but instead, it flipped the script. The seme is the one clearly smitten, while the uke is the one holding back. Such an unexpected and refreshing twist!
"Your name" but gay
I’m not sure how to feel about this one. The story kind of downplays the top’s past, but if I were the uke, I’d stay far away immediately. That said, the fact that the uke is an odd person himself is probably the reason this pairing works at all.

Mei had flowers growing from his body—literally blooming out of him like some kind of emotional plant curse. It was beautiful, heartbreaking, and lowkey one of the most memorable parts of the story
