I kinda like how it feels different in the sense that while Shii seems forceful at first, you come to understand that he does that because Tamaki is the type to never be honest unless urged to be. And Tamaki himself admits that he could have always refused the advances. He just didn't want to lose Shii by doing that. It is a kinda grey situation because it seems like Tamaki actually gets better.
