This, to me, is a great example of a fake daughter plot. Having knowledge of the future, the MC decides to close off her heart and commits to escaping (which she actually does!). She’s not overly swayed by guilt tripping and regretful apologies, her fake father respects her new boundaries, and her former fiance genuinely wants her to be happy. I respect that.

It’s popular for a reason! Watching the town of monsters grow from a goblin hovel to a major international power is very satisfying, as is Rimuru’s personal growth. I do prefer the more serious side of the story.

I love the MC of this story. She’s prickly on the outside but has a soft heart, which combines with her supernatural medium abilities to give her responsibilities she can’t turn away from. Just wish she could rest and be happy already!!!

Enemies to lovers in a Jane Austen way. The steady growth of their relationship from sarcastic strangers to teasing best friends is beautiful, and then you get hit with the ML’s sudden realization of his love for his wife and it’s my favorite bit in the whole series. Plus, the plot twist of identities towards the end was truly unexpected and I liked it a lot.

I am not a business major, so I struggle with the more technical stuff, but it is still a really impactful and emotional plot. Could I honestly say the MC and his grandpa are good people? No, but I’m still gonna cry when Grandpa passes away.

Did I think a bird main character would be well written? Not really. But I was proven wrong. The MC grows so much over the course of the story, and I love that the characters make good strategic use of the bird.

Murim stories are great but they all follow a similar warrior path. Not this one! Before he’s a martial artist, he’s a doctor. So unless he’s changing the plot of the novel, he’d rather be healing people over beating them up.

I love how closely the series stuck to maintaining clear visual direction in each performance. It truly brought the idols to life, how distinct their concepts were instead of being a generic hot guy theme. Genuinely wish some of the stages and choreos were real!

No suprise, but I love a strong willed and intelligent FL. This one just happens to also be shameless as well. So it’s hilarious seeing her collide with the stoic and strict ML. She might be getting more than she bargained for though!

The OG unashamed villainess in my heart. She was framed as a clumsy villainess, so she said fine I’ll be an even better villainous woman this time. I even read the novel for this, I was so down bad.
