I mean, if you’re going to be forced to make regular Japanese food in a fantasy world, having your modern house get isekai’d with you IS really helpful. I just adore how the fantastical finds the MC even though she can barely even leave the castle.

This story could easily have gotten cringe with the romantic comedy, but nope! The FL and ML are genuinely competent in different ways, and the respect and affection they have for each other makes me root for them so hard. Plus, great art!!!

Imagine being a queen with hot men surrounding you, except the only two men you trust also stress you out the most and everyone else has ulterior motives. I am filled with schadenfreude every time I read this lol.

When a story has a complicated and nuanced relationship between mother and daughter, it just gets to me, okay? The cherry on top is the way the ML has lowkey been pining for the FL all this time but doesn’t see himself as a good match for her. And the drama at the end? Wonderful.

Let’s get it out of the way: I don’t consider the ML and FL to be siblings in anything except name, considering for most of their childhood they hated/avoided each other. And in Korean, you can refer to non family members as sister and brother as a form of respect so that means nothing.
Anyways, good story though honestly I like the beginning the most.

This story honestly reminds me of dystopian YA novels, except with the manhwa tropes of second chances and scheming sisters. The social class dynamics fascinate me and it has a lot of potential.

For a story that starts with an outcast girl being sold to a bloodthirsty emperor, this one is surprisingly sweet. The FL is quirky but not stupid, pure but not naive. If it hasn’t already, I could see this making a good TV show.

I can’t blame the MC for being suicidal after living 14 lives being tortured and exploited. It’s pretty obvious she’s the real daughter, so she’ll definitely have a better life this time but I NEED to see how the other girl gets exposed.

There’s an element of horror to this story, in how everybody’s perceptions are manipulated by a shadowy “author”. The creeps it gave me made the victory of the FL and ML all the more compelling, and also creates a good contrast between the ML and his brother.

The MC’s library of abilities is really cool, and I like how his choice in all those options shows his character. I want them to keep showing new abilities, though, and showcasing what the MC’s previous lives were like.
