The two leads really feel like they have their own lives while still having their worlds revolve around each other. Maybe you could say that's less true for Yujae since he wants to keep Hanjun as his friend no matter what, and seems to do a lot to achieve that, but he's shown to involve himself in things beyond that too. Their friendship is super refreshing and it's interesting to see both of their thoughts when it turns out one likes the other romantically.
Brett and Hayden each bring a different side to their relationship. Initially you might think that Brett is the one in control but the whole storyline is really about the how that's both true in some ways, but not others. In fact this is outright said by Hayden at some point. At the same time it's undeniable that Brett knows what he's doing and that power is not taken away from him simply because he's the one bottoming. I've seen that happen too many times. Either way, both are great characters.
So far up to the end of season 1 both leads have their own roles/jobs and the story revolves around how they must both work with each other because of it. Of course working with each other doesn't mean they truly want to get along, rather it's a relationship that only exists because of their respective goals. Rian with Lorenzo as his target and Lorenzo needing someone who can get him connections. Despite the expected power imbalance, it still feels like either side could win in the long run.
Their relationship is super cute. Chanyoung is more introverted but people expect him to be bad-tempered. Hyunjin is super friendly with everyone but initially dislikes Chanyoung for getting close to his crush. They both start to get along.
I feel like you get the gist at this point. Equal development on both sides, which is definitely because of the pov switching. Maybe I'll find that equal amounts of pov for both parties will always fall into this list? Or will at least be better developed.
Both Ennid and Glunn are badasses in their own right, Ennid being an extremely powerful, genius alchemist and Glunn being unrivalled in combat due to the dragon's blood. They have excellent communication actually and really value one another. You also get POV from both sides although Ennid, I would say, gets more focus. Also there is a bit of power imbalance since Ennid is a commoner and Glunn is a grand duke, but genuinely I don't think Ennid cares at all.
This is a pretty straightforward one. At first you're introduced to Seungpyo, and indeed he is the main character despite being the top(?), which works in this manhwa's favour despite him being a bit unbearable sometimes. Then you meet Jaemin, and immediately you'd think you know exactly how their dynamic will be, which is to some extent true, but Jaemin ends up being less passive than I would've thought. Anywho, their actions on both sides are understandable so that's why they're in this list.
