Dropped at chapter 54. Season one was alright. It wasn't anywhere near as good as I expected going into it, considering the way everyone raved about it at the time, but it was fine. Had some crazy tonal whiplash, the first half of season one and the second half were like two separate stories. But. Season two . . . My fucking god. Genuinely some of the most boring shit I've ever read. I just can't bring myself to continue pulling through each slogfest of a chapter.
Dropped at chapter 45. Honestly, this wasn't bad at all. It was quite suspenseful, and it was also really hot, but . . . I took a break reading it, and a break that I only intended to last a day snowballed into weeks, and at this point, I just can't be bothered continuing. It did have some cracks starting to show, too. The plot, the way characters were acting, was starting to go in circles. There's things that happened that clearly only happened to unnaturally continue the story
I dropped this all the way back on the 2nd of May, 2022, but marked it as complete. I just couldn't get past the art, honestly. I thought it was super ugly. And I usually try to look past the art, but for some reason, I just couldn't with this. I guess maybe the writing couldn't warrant it, but it's been so long that I can't remember tbh
The author has made it apparent in multiple instances that this story isn't a BL and that she never intended it to be one, despite initially promoting it on Twitter multiple times as one. So because of that, I'm dropping it. I'm not interested in this fake vague "well it's all implied and subtext" bullshit. The author initially promoted it as a BL then deleted all evidence of doing so once it reached an unexpected level of popularity, so fuck her and this story
The most annoying obnoxious uke you'll ever fucking read. Treats his coworkers like shit then wonders why they give him back the same energy. Just a total fucking retard. I hate him.
I dropped this years ago now so I'm not entirely sure why I did. The fact that I can't remember anything probably means it was a mix of me not liking the art and also just not finding the story interesting or engaging enough to warrant reading despite that.
Truthfully I quite liked this, especially when the POV changed to the other character and the side couple was now the main. However . . . It's just going on for way too fucking long. At first I liked it, but it eventually just starts going in circles and getting frustrating.
The MC is an unlovable cheating slut. Disgusting slut uke.
I just don't really like the art and I'm not particularly engaged with the plot/writing. Guideverse in general is just kinda . . . Ehhh to me
Dropped at chapter fourteen because I saw people say a few things that I really dislike; the main character changes with every season, most couples aren't too well-defined yet (and the chapter count is already in the 60s), and there's not really a solid plot. Those fourteen chapters were really good though, so I might decide to revisit this once it's completed.
