Ah, finally getting to the good stuff. We have an interesting concept that isn’t wasted. The characters don’t act too dumb, and the villain isn’t overly stupid or unreasonable either. The only flaw here is that the romance is pretty weak, and adding the second male lead syndrome doesn’t help.
