Great Stories That Just so Happen to be BL

Interesting story, I wish there was more like this. I wish and hope for even more angst but that’s just because I’m a sadist. Not because it’s lacking. 10/10.

I personally wouldn’t classify this as BL in any way but some may disagree with me. The story is dark and angsty. One of the first webtoon I’ve ever read. I don’t remember much other than it made me feel a lot for a while. 8/10

Ah I’m really sad at how short this one was. There is sexual scenes. It’s yaoi but the story isn’t yaoi, if that makes sense. It has a real and interesting plot outside of the yaoi label. Both of the character’s personalities are interesting and quite a few unexpected twists.8/10.

Really underrated! 10/10 so far. The story leaves you guessing and you never know what’s real or fake due to how unreliable and deceitful certain characters may be. Angsty and makes me feel like there’s a void where my heart should be haha.

It’s confusing for a lot of readers so be warned, you may need to reread it various times before you understand what’s happening. If you aren’t interested in stories that don’t give you things at face value and make you think, this isn’t for you. A basic explanation to start off with for those that want to read it; The story is about the struggle of being queer in small conservative community and the terror that comes with it. That isn’t what the story is completely about but it should help.

I think the story is good and the premise is interesting. Regression is used a lot but I feel as though the circumstances/the rest of the plot it what makes it unique. Ah I feel so bad for mc. It has comedic aspects. I hope there will be more angst. 9/10

This is not BL or Yaoi although a lot of people do ship the two main characters. Very angsty, one of my Favorite stories ever. Do not let the simplicity of the art style deter or fool you. I’ve cried many times reading this and many times after finishing it. 1000000000000/10.

I’m beginning to notice a pattern with how all the good stories that happen to have BL elements often have stoic or difficult to read characters….This one is really good and angsty! My favorite. He wants to die but he can’t. (Always good). It seems like people are often frustrated with the person who will potentially become the love interest, but I think there is some wabi-sabi to it.

Great art and I can tell it’s building up to a great story. Currently, there has been no romance in the main story but there are short flashbacks that showcases an intimate relationship between the MC and the ML. 9/10

This one has been discontinued. It’s not the best out of this list but it’s light hearted and keeps you entertained. Novel readers say that the main character ends up with both of them in the end so I wouldn’t say it’s explicitly BL. But it does have queer aspects so I feel as though it should be added. 7/10.
