Depressing, full of angst and frustration, the death of dreams basically. But also a really practical view of life and learning to live on past broken dreams and expectations. It's pretty dramatic but also really simple. I read it whenever I'm feeling a little masochistic.
I read it for the Yoshimune and Gen to be honest. But overall, it's sweet and funny. Delinquent high school slice of life.
I cry every chapter.
It's a different kind of story. Really ambiguous and depressing and angering at points, but strangely refreshing and hopeful by the end. Not a super happy ending, but more like on the way to recovery.
