This was extremely toxic. ML constantly abused the MC SPOILER and even by the end there was no real redemption. MC ends up with the psychotic ML instead of the sweet 2nd ML (who lost everything for him). How can you love someone who murdered your mother and continuously abused you? It just felt like going back to an abusive ex.
