I love the way that compulsions are portrayed and the call backs to Koto watching the scene hes fixated on over and over. Im also just a sucker for gore (ero guro liker). I kind of wish that his compulsions wernt completely resolved or were resolved in a different way, because the ending portayes the idea that koto can not be happy and live with his compulsion. It needs to go away for him to be able to love. I think itd be interesting to watch him find a way to cope with and live with it

Sleeping dead is my favorite yaoi. I love Mamiya with all my heart and i really appreciate how unconventional mamiya and sadas sex life is. She is good at portraying queer themes without stating or labeling them clearly, i think mamiyas perspective of sex and his trauma leads him to behave like an asexual person would. Its a very nice portrayal. I also like that mamiya isn’t conventionally attractive and hes kind of an ass. I love the gore and tragedy themes as well.

Asada Nemui writes about a lot of taboo things, but they arnt necessarily romanticized. Its obvious the characters arnt good people, she likes to write about the ugly parts of people. I think its interesting and i dont mind problematic themes when they’re portrayed like this. The fact that most of the sex she depicts isnt heavily explicit shows that its more a portrayal and curiosity with the immoral and twisted rather than something thats supposed to be sexy and jacked off to.

Takatora is an ass, but its on purpose. This story unravels his privileged upbringing and forces him to face the realities of the patriarchy that advantaged him previously. He is unlearning his mindset of seeing omegas as “livestock” by becoming an omega himself. The patriarchy here mirrors irl patriarchy almost 1 to 1, its obvious what she is playing with here and its very interesting. Because of the transfer from Alpha to Omega, this story mirrors trans experiences too.

This one is a more light hearted than the others, and its pretty funny. Mah-kun is kind of a pred but in a funny way. Theyre pretty cute and moe. The 1 foot height gap is ridiculous, the whole manga is kind of ridiculous. They are kind of perfect for each other in the way that they are quite literally opposites in every way, even just on a design basis. I do long for the psychological prompts in her other work though.

Her first ever manga! It turned out being sort of slice of life in its own way. She mentions she was aiming for it to be more of a dystopian sci-fi at first, I think i may have liked it more if she was able to accomplish that tone. Still enjoyed it, i always love her premises. She definitely got better at leaning into dark themes while still keeping the slice of life aspect when you compare this to sleeping dead or takatora and the omegas.

Idk if she will finish it, it might be abandoned. I wouldnt call this a yaoi, its a miss leading tag. More an exploration of trauma with a csa survivor who cant move past his trauma and keeps seeking out his groomer, and a groomer who doesnt think what he did is bad because he didnt “force” anyone. I think this could be good if it ever went on longer + went deeper into its themes of consequence. 3/5 bc as it stands it hasnt gone deep enough into its themes yet, nothing happened.

I mean theres not rlly much to say abt this one, its kinda just “guy gets bullied and raped and dies, bully jacks off to it”, and the translation makes it kinda hard to understand. I assume she made this with the intent on trying to see how far she could go with smth like bullying in a short one shot. Seems like a one off thing she wrote just because lol. Shares some themes with other works of hers, like taboo and harmful fetishes
