gosh the female mc is so boring and pathetic and the whole mother group teacher conflict is so unbelievably stupid it makes me mad but not the way that makes me want to keep reading. I believe eventually there is some better character moments for the fmc (based on what ive heard) but the current story is not interesting enough for it to be worth it to read until things start to get better.
disappointing, was expecting more of a horror story that focused less on developing the future romance between the main two. feels too much like a YA fantasy romance novel with some slight drama that would be hyped up on booktok.
I thought the fmc would be more interesting considering the description and the comments but she is a very normal/average character aside from a few moments scattered throughout the story.
This is a whole seperate rant but it makes me so extremely frustrated that it seems like every story is for some reason obligated to end with some sort of romance. I am just so tired of getting invested in the characters and plot for hundreds of chapters only for a love interest to show up and their connection with the mc take over the story. I will probably pick this back up again since its so good but I need to take a break bc Im so annoyed and frustrated.
the characters and plot points in this are so unnecessarily melodramatic for a story about people making fireworks. Also this may be a personal bias cause I love angst but I'm a little disappointed that they wrapped up the mcs main internal conflict within 10 chapters. Although it may make sense considering the whole manga is pretty short.
this manga takes itself entirely too seriously. I can see it maybe having potential to be cool if the fights were actually real and not a game. but they're not, so a lot of the big moments come off as extremely cringe and overdramatic considering they are essentially just a bunch of adults playing paintball on the weekends.
I generally just dislike plotlines that romanticize fan/idol relationships and parasocialism. It feels like a weird fantasy for obsessive fans with the obvious self insert protag and its uncomfortable to read.
