Stories of the Day Part #2

7/15 This is a very cute story, especially with the art style. The main guy was fun, with his eagerness and blushing and all that. There's a twist that happens half way through which I thought was really fun and kind of made sense.

7/17 The story telling in this is very special. The way that it builds on itself is very engaging, especially with the unexpected turns it takes. Overall just really well written for a one shot.

7/17 This is very digestible, light hearted fluff one with cute art and some adorable flashbacks. It's a little by the numbers but it's a veritable shot of sweetness.

7/17 This is short even by one shot standards, but the art is great and really helps sell the fluffiness of it all and it's a brisk jog through classic old tale.

8/1 There's a lot of diabetic moments in this, it's very aggressive with its sweetness. I really like the mc and all the ways he tried to swat away being gay. “Why am I feeling strange around him? It must be because I'm jealous. Why do I dislike this woman? She's just loud”. I also enjoy how every character that's introduced spends like 5 pages insulting him, it rocks.

8/2 I really love the way they interpret the animals as humans and their character designs. All things considered, the fact there's only one meh one is amazing for an anthology. It's a very inventive and adorable concept and framing for a bl and I'm so glad they did another volume.

8/10 First of all, this may have mermaids in the title but there's no flippers to be seen. What is to be seen is an engaging narrative told through some adorable childhood flashbacks and a unique narrative structure. The way that the story builds out from their initial encounter was very interesting in my opinion. It's also by the author of all time Story of the Day classic Bakeneko Katatte Sourou.

8/11 Yet another by this author and all their lovely art and storytelling. The plot is interesting and I like the way they handled the past memories, though it could've been done better at parts. I like the mc a lot, I like their design and the way they went about it. People in comments kept saying they cried during this, it didn't do that for me but I guess that's a marker of quality. This story also made me realize how few teacher x teacher stories there are, I feel like there should be more.

8/12 Sometimes paint by number fluff is nice. The art is cute and pleasant, there is a gloomy little fella who, in a surprise twist, is actually hot. It's just sweet, industrialized fluff.

8/13 This one was pretty big a year or two back and for good reason. The art is very unique and quirky in a way that helps with the overall unconventional story. This is one of those where I can imagine a ton of readers “damn he just like me” to the mc, a bisexual strange loser. I like his interactions with the people at the nail salon a lot. Overall a fun and unique read.
