Dropped

I wanted to like it, but the main character (despite having the collective experience and knowledge of a 51 year old, and the power to destroy the world) is useless and gets pushed around by everyone she meets as well as the plot itself.

Every time the story skips around in time, I just get taken right out. Can’t keep my interest when it keeps interrupting itself with these scenes that don’t add anything and just seem to go “Ooh, this story goes on for yeeeaaars… isn’t that exciting?”

Interesting twist to the old hat, but the combat is really static and unimpressive and the characters fall apart where the author seems unsure of what to do with them. No thanks.
