Strong Female Leads in Shoujo Manga

Haruhi is pretty much one of the greatest female characters in shoujo. She’s intelligent, independent, opinionated (and blunt af abt it lol), down to earth, and overall cool af. I’ve never seen a more chill female protagonist. Plus, she don’t give a fuck abt gender norms. Haruhi was ahead of her time and deserves more praise tbh.

Say it with me now: Shizuku is just THAT bitch. Period. I love girls that are all abt their business. Women who actually give a fuck abt their future outside marriage and work hard to make it happen? Yes. Ofc it can be a lil annoying since Shizuku is so business-oriented that she comes across as coldhearted but that changes and you can see that, overall, she’s got a good heart and she cares abt the ppl around her. She just has issues expressing it. If she didn’t, Haru wouldn’t have fell for her.

I’m so mad this is a oneshot cuz I deadass fell in love with Matsuoka. Girls with Resting Bitchface like me relate so hard. She looks mean but she just wants friends and tbh she seems like a good friend to have cuz she defended Hoshino who was an asshole to her but she still felt thankful towards for helping her find friends. I love how blunt she is and she’s not afraid to call out bullshit when she sees it. And she’s adorably awkward and overall very relatable. 10/10 best girl.
