Emotional. Beautiful. Intense. The imagery of sex as the ocean is amazing. The relationships. The characterization. The art style. All the rawness of life is captured. There’s a trans character as well.

The slow burn is peaked in this one. The lead is just so damn cool, but I feel like it started getting more and more fan servicey. it’s yakuza and I’m a certain way about men who share in life and death.

Reread this. Its a tad dramatic. The romance is slow burn. Love interest has serious trauma which was never really addressed in a realistic way? A fun read with all kinds of couples featured. There's a sequel with a different couple.

Havent even finished this one. Best described as bittersweet. Also a bi character!
