Omg I don't even know how many times I've read this story! Simply perfect! This will remain one of my favourite tragic stories forever! I remember crying and crying every single time I read it, but in the end it's actually an open ending...
[Spoiler] In the last pages there're clearly hints that they may be alive...so just let me have some hope and think that they survive!
Well, the ending certainly leaves the reader a bit unsatisfied, like one was expecting something more definite, a final scene that would seem like a proper closure. But I think it's understandable that the author ended it like that, 'cause after all that's just they way Jou and Azuma are, the way their relationship is all along! So, there wasn't really the need to say anything more and a sweet, lovey-dovey scene would've felt forced for them. Just Azuma simply asking Jou to go to Nagano (where h
