who knew i would like an isekai manga so much?

definitely not your typical "love" story but thats why i enjoyed it so much. this one deals with heavy and emotional themes and it is done brilliantly. the ending is a bit rushed but honestly it didn't take away any points---everything was wrapped up nicely but it would've been nice to see the development of their relationship furthermore.

i really like my coming of age stories as you can tell.....
but anyways this was so cute and i loveee the art! basically ml is your typical popular guy at school, except he really loves shoujo and struggles with the "prince" image he created for himself. then he meets himeno, a struggling manga artist who hates shoujo. they start off rocky at first but eventually fall in love and discover new meanings to life and newfound inspirations within eachother.

definition of "what could've been if..." it it wasn't for their environment and the predicament they can't control or run away from. a tragic love story btw two people who are willing to risk it all despite it directly conflicting with what they've known as "right" and "good" for their whole lives. devastating but a masterpiece (the art itself too tbh) nonetheless.

if you're looking for something super fluffy and not plot heavy read this! to me this manhwa is reminiscent of a coming of an age movie, despite the ml being 40 years old (LOL). it feels like you're reading someone's first love and it is sooo adorable. im not the biggest fan of age gap relationships, however this one was not in the slightest way weird or creepy---they're painfully awkward and in love with eachother. (only reason i didnt give it a 10 is bc the plot
