fucking love the plots where A sees B clearly in love with someone else and wishes they would look at them in the same way. cue a lot of clumsy first love fumbling and chasing. probably the most light hearted and cute of this author’s works bc they have gotten darker in themes
MY BABIES. hilarious heart pounding shoujo esque shounen ai with a stupid mc whose first love ends when the girl he crushes on likes a classmate (based on his deducing skills from an eraser). accidentally confesses to the crush’s crush and sticks through it only for him to fall for said crush’s crush. forever a classic
smuttiest of this list BUT IT HAS THAT wanting someone’s gaze full of love turned towards you that’s so fucking delicious. but unlike the others in this list the seme is so willing to be manipulative to get what he wants. and yes the uke falls for him and it’s shown in the tiniest details god i love dan rim
THIS WAS SO CUTE AND GOOD AND SHORT AND MY HEART FLUTTERED LIKE ITS BETWEEN KOIMONOGATARI AND KIETA HATSUKOI. the scenes of realizing ur in love by the actions u do with ur crush like koimonogatari and the coming out and mistaken assumptions. i need more like it
finished s1 so i gotta update my blurb. reminds me of borderline the most but god SO MANY GOOD TROPES the date me not him (to get him away from ur crush kieta hatsukoi fashion). and my favorite how can someone be so pure in loving someone else and i wonder how it would feel like to be reflected in those eyes. but with copious amount of smut slathered in between it’s fucking good food
as the scanlators put it: love triangle where the ends end up together. i truly can’t get enough of love rivals falling in love with each other. in volume 2 it explores character and relationship development including coming out to ur family. a great short read with pretty top AND pretty bottom
THIS HAS BOTH LOVE RIVALS TO LOVERS AND I WISH I WAS REFLECTED IN YOUR EYES EARNEST LOVE FUCK ME. also the teased snippet of twink top x buff bottom we will never get. god this one is fantastic with the target of their affections being a full blown fudanshi who ships them and gets them into crazy scenarios it’s so good. a delinquent (like) bottom who blushes so pretty is always a ++++ in my books
