I love Nagisa Furuya's work, she makes the connection between the leads so palpable. The trope of a redeemed delinquent is actually done well in this one.The trope of a bad guy often ends up in the other lead putting in the work, for them to change. But, It's clear that Onizuka genuinely wants to improve as a person and not live up to his bad reputation.
The arts so good and how they make the expressions further add to the humor. Though that does make the backstory all the more jarring. One of the most the uncomfortable chapter in manga…
