Absolute 200

This is such a meaningful yaoi. Uke has been disabled since birth. With the entrance of seme into his life, uke's world suddenly expands under the starry skies. I wish uke learned how to explore the world on his own, but I get that with how careful his parents have been, uke needs someone like seme to help encourage him to take the reins. And seme does it with sensitivity towards uke's situation, along with full belief that uke is strong with or without working legs.

Ahhh I was really rooting for this one. Don't get me wrong, this is damn great, an absolute must-read. 0 is a transmigrator in a villain system and 1 is the target of his villainous missions. That's how it starts. But thing is, it feels like author-shi were ambitious and ended up cramming too many details without properly setting it up, making it feel disconjointed. There are other frustrating parts to this story, but overall, the couple, characters, and plot are too good.

This was one of the first I read during lockdown and the one that got me back into BL. I really appreciated the portrayal of the main issue with same sex--no kids. That's it. And yet, that derails so many people who just want to love each other. In my opinion, it's just as ridiculous as an amnesia trope being the one thing that saves a relationship about to break apart because of biological similarities. And yet, insanity turns into clarity in this manga.

THIIIIISSSS IS SOOOO PEAAAAAAK, YOU GUYS. OMGGGGG. Why aren't there more switches!? C'mon, even guys with women get pegged; you get to have the privilege of having a warm, nerve-ridden organic pegging device inside you!! *ahem* Also, this manga has great realistic problems, like learning what you want to do with your life and how to accept a relationship that changes with time. This is a wonderful read.

THIS was a surprising win. Vol 1 wasn't too special, but I enjoyed uke going from wary of seme to knowing that there is more to seme than meets the eye. Then subsequent volumes started to have world-building, relationship growth, character growth, and just all around plot that somehow balances fantasy with slice of life. I was impressed. And definitely would love 10 more volumes of this.

This, right here, is my fave guideverse. It has all the hallmarks--sweet and kind guide that is pulled into a different world, esper that doesn't respond well to any other guiding and becomes devoted to his guide from the beginning. They both fall deeply for each other. At one point, esper is this close to corrupting and his guide comes to the rescue. Also, guides are just as respected as espers and have rights. It's great.

STILL VERY SALTY HOW THEY BUTCHERED THE NOVEL. I WANT A REDO GDI. No seriously, this is a rare BL isekai with a su who has such a fun and lovable personality. It pairs so well with gong's...not fun..and very scary personality, haha. But it's okay because he's hot, rich, powerful, and more importantly, utterly devoted to his su. The execution of the plot was well done as well, with just enough detail that is appropriate for a mainly lighthearted story like this.

Yeah, THIS was peak. The plot is absolutely riveting with the whole dungeon and awakeners theme. Su is an incredibly powerful restorer who has exactly what just as powerful hunter gong needs. In the end, they learn to need each other on a more visceral level and give each other reasons to move past their traumas + regrets. There ends up being less portrayal of the battles in later chapters, but the focus on character growth more than makes up for it.

Okay, look, I know. I'd really like for seme to grow up and look like an actual adult too, ok. But there are great moments here. Author-nim actually has a good portrayal of uke, who had to be a prostitute to survive. The way uke describes how love can be weaponized is wow. And I was absolutely blown away with how seme's "true facts" towards how uke desires to be hurt. Either author-nim has really been through things herself or has deep understanding of those who have.

The sci-fi genre really is my fave if well executed. And this one was well-done, even if it was short--in this instance, it probably was best for it to be short. Seme is a robot...cleaner? And he ends up finding uke in the regular trash heap he regularly searches through. Uke turns out to be an obsolete sex android. A lot more stuff happens here for just 5 chps so all I can say is that I absolutely loved this.
