Fifty-One Shades of Manga Yaoi

Nice collection on one-shots of ukes or semes (mainly ukes) having the personality gap that makes their respective lovers swoon over them. Super cute.

This was good. Uke is a beefy pleasure-chaser that is dumb and fun enough to put batteries up his ass to see if it feels good. Seme is the cool beauty type that also happens to be the proctologist that gets the batteries out. And also teach uke how to pleasure himself properly. I enjoyed reading of these two.

This was sweet. Seme is beaten down by the brutal system of capitalism and doesn't remember what it's like to...live. Uke is a succubus who's assigned to seme and, together, they find out there's more to life than others' expectations for them. Author's other works are good, but I like this one best.

This was so cute. Uke and seme are both high school boys in love, with uke being a bit of a tsundere and seme being a big ball of sunshine. Uke undertakes a mission of trying to make seme happier with him, while seme tries to make uke more in love with him. They are adorable idiots.

I love this author's other works (the reincarnation one was kinda weird tho) and one of them is even in my faves. In this story, hairless uke transmigrates into a world of hairy people. He catches the eye of the royal prince with luxurious hair and...pretty much fur all over his body. It's a strange premise executed so adorably that I can't help but love it.

This was a fun premise. Uke often gets into “lucky perv” moments where he ends up groping women’s chests or butts…thing is, that’s not what uke wants. What uke wants is a really nice guy like seme who takes his “lucky accidents” in a stride and makes uke feel like those accidents were really just meant to lead him to seme.

Ohhhh my goshhhh this was such a surprising win! There are…not so great parts, namely seme blackmailing uke into marrying him (though, uke gets a sweet deal with renovation and continuation of the dojo his grandpa left him) and making uke wear a tracking omega collar (tho, uke is more or less accepting of that and wears it even after marriage). However, they both are super sweet and cute with each other, so. I can’t help but pass it.

Same author as the manga right before this one. This…was such a riot omg. It was a bit too much, honestly, but if you read it enough times, the second hand embarrassment dulls your senses. What’s left is a really cute story of a seme who realizes that bigger, buffer uke is actually the rare embodiment of Yamamoto Nadeshiko, apparently. It’s okay, boys being stupidly in love got me through the cringe.

Same author as the two manga right before this one. This has two couples, couple A is first chapters and they’re the soft kind that has the lovey-dovey sex. Seme pretends to be a delinquent to get uke’s attention, it’s as childishly adorable as it sounds. Couple B is the last chapters and they have more hardcore sex with smut that definitely keeps the spice alive. This uke and seme are forced to room together, leading to sex toy shenanigans.

This was a really nice surprise. Seme is the playboy type that hates his job, partly because he’s not that good at it (read: half-ass, which I don’t blame him for). Uke is this frumpy looking guy who falls for people who love him…unfortunately, his gf is a dumbass who dumped him for wanting to try anal. Enter seme, who not only shows uke the world of anal, but also shows he’s capable of changing himself to be worthy of uke’s love. Woohoo!
