Fifty-Two Shades of Manga Yaoi

Same author as manga right before this one. Younger, gay, pushy seme turns to underhanded desperation to get pushover, divorced uke to agree to open up his legs for the choo choo train.

Super questionable shounen ai, but at least it's genuinely shounen ai without the yaoi. And the short-chapter formatting works juuuust enough to keep it from getting too uncomfy.

I think this is one of the very first yaois to get an entire volume to itself. It's good! I liked reading it. Typical playboy seme who is so out of touch with his own feelings, he needs uke to figure out for him that, yes, he is indeed in love with uke. Uke is never truly pitiful either, he is decisive with cutting ties with seme until seme starts chasing after uke, then he starts forcing seme to see from his POV. I'm satisfied with their love, though I wish there were more chps.

Really didn't like seme or the way uke just...blew past seme's history of bullying. It may not have been physically violent, but it was emotionally and mentally abusive. Over the course of their entire childhood. That said, I like the general premise of it and am keeping it on here to think back on how this manga could've been satisfying.

Yes, yes, I know how this looks. It's not that bad though. Uke, who has been abused all his life, is isekai'd into another world. Seme saves him from being enslaved and even puts him through school...of which he's the dean. So. Age difference, size difference, and student/dean to boot. Relationship is dubious at best. But uke finds happiness through seme and seme finds love through uke, so. Author's other works are similarly questionable and fun to read.

I'm torn because on one hand, I love a runaway omega who hides the secret love-baby from his alpha, with said alpha utterly falling head over heels AGAIN with his omega and hilariously not realizing the kid is his. But on the other, alpha gets jealous then rapes/assaults omega...and there's the whole thing about the alpha not being able to help but raping an omega in heat...just...ayaiai...

I really like this one because it made me laugh and I can't help but swoon over possessive/cold seme who only has eyes and energy for lovable/loving uke...but gdi all the assault, man. Including from asshole seme. The only reason why this isn't tragic is because uke is a true shounen boy-tagonist. But any normal/smart person would've bailed and never truly heal from the bullcrap. I love this but I'm tired at the same time. Vol 2 is way better tho.

This is true trash ABO. The typical ABO trash is whatever, but this somehow accomplishes intersex fetishization and transphobia, with noncon drugging from seme and ritualistic assault from seme's family members, and...uh, etcetera. Buuuut if you read with zero expectations or brain shut off--or both--it's a fun trash read. Like, it's hard to take this manga seriously. Seme is totally devoted to uke from the beginning, so there's that.

Considering how much I'm a sucker for [pseudo-]incest yaoi, I'm surprised by how...bland this felt. Still a nice read (iffy on the assault but it's more like a token kind that I believe yaoi authors must put in their works or else they just drop dead). But there wasn't that...chemistry between the characters. The one needed to make an incestuous yaoi click. The soup here is lukewarm but it's still sustenance, so here ya go.
