This one's a cute, episodic story between an adult couple who have been together for some years. One of them is an aged care worker and he's put and proud. The other (the MC) is a realtor who'd prefer to stay in the closet for as long as possible, partly out of personal comfort, partly out of fear of the repercussions in his social circle and work life. They're very cute, the story follows their relationship, their personal growth and the MCs views on his own queerness whether out or hidden.
This one's a classic. It follows a pair of MCs (Nitori's the one main one though) as they go through puberty and explore their sexuality and gender identity, with a focus on gender identity. You see how it affects them and their relationships with others. The side characters are complex and well made too. I love the sister best but all of their stories are interesting. It has a great ending!
This one's a memoir! It follows the story of a retired gay sex worker from the countryside, his experiences, his work relationships his views and more. Apparently at some point after leaving the job he opened a bar, but the story doesn't go that far. Pretty sure the translation is incomplete but it's really good. Definitely a must read. Please give it a shot.
Adorable shoujo ai! And somewhat of a slow-burn. They take their time to develop their relationship and if they became a couple it was off-screen. But it was very much a queer relationship. A really cute and good one! It follows the puppy crush stage only but you can tell they get there post-story. It's an enjoyable light read, sweet and fluffy and adorable.
The main couple is f/m but the characters and the story on the whole are very extremely queer. I was rooting for a poly ending but what can you do. It's an excellent read regardless. The characters, art and story are amazing and the end is a little odd but satisfying enough. I had to hunt these damn books down. be glad you read them here, seriously, my god, the effort, my poor wallet.
It's not a romance but it follows queer relationships and queer characters. One of the MCs is intersex and that's a big part of story (i can't say more on account of spoilers) and there are other lgbt characters. The relationship between the two MCs is pretty damn queer and the focus of the story but again, it's not a romance, you'll be severely disappointed if you go in expecting one. I want to explain more but I really, truly can't without going into spoilers just pretty please read this.
A shounen ai I dearly wish to own. It's gorgeous and the story is amazing. The characters, the story, the everything. It's a dystopian fantasy with a gun. And a cult. It might sound odd but I swear to god it's a must read. I must own this.
Yay! Magical forbidden love story with a demon learning how to love! An excellent, building relationship, brilliant side characters, gorgeous art. I swear this author just cannot flop. It's not my fave of their works but I've re-read this one so many times.
Surprisingly little sex for a romance triggered by a fuck or die plot, but an excellent story regardless. I love the MC, he's so funny. The relationship development is great. The story is so good I dug up the light novels. It'll be short and sweet but totally worth it. Their relationship is fun to watch develop.
A classic shoujo ai! The characters and relationship are so adorable! The chapters are mostly short comics but you get attached to the characters and their relationships so fast. The MC is hilarious, so mischievous.
