Is it peak? Hell no.
Why? MC is insufferable! This isn't a Sung Jinwoo type who just focuses on himself without being a total asshole to everyone around him. This is an edgelord who needs to come off as the guy who is better than everyone else. I can't stand edgy MCs.
Conclusion? It would be peak if the MC wasn't one-dimensional.

Couldn't even make it to the middle. It's unfortunate because I love stories with necromancy.
This one is pretty "peak".
Would love to see how MCs curse plays out for the people around him; constantly dying in front of your comrades and even forcing them to kill you just so you can improve can't have good outcomes overall.
My biggest gripe with this story is how every woman and their mother needs to fall for the MC or get revenge for the sake of love. So many cool strong female characters and the moment they meet Enkrid it's like a switch has to go off, boring af.
This is one where people saying "it's peak" is not wrong.
This can boil down to taste. I enjoyed the lack of romance (throughout the main story at least...), the necromancy element, and the fights. The plot is non-existent for the sake of MC just getting insanely strong and growing a very loyal army of undead (Beru best girl).
Side-stories and sequal are kinda useless, and the ending sucks. This is the kind of slop that you just kinda turn your brain off and enjoy the fun ride.
It's...something. Very much an acquired taste.
If you can manage through a very stupid comedy featuring a pathetic loser as an MC and the most unserious plot and art, then you will like this. You CANNOT take this seriously (although admittedly there are some really wholesome moments that make you appreciate certain characters).
It's dumb fun, take it or leave it.
This is decent, but...
Idk there's something about the world-building and fights that gets too repetitive for me, like a shounen. It's like CSM in a way but not as self-aware so it lost me by season 2.

People ride hard for it cuz of the supposed incredible romance and story but I find it all rather boring after a decent start. Dissappointed that it did turn into a romance thing.
It's not peak, nowhere near as interesting as other white-collar stories.
It's just poorly written, like a child trying to write Succession for other children. We HAVE to see MC's thoughts and he always succeeds cuz haha big-brain 4d chess etc etc. For some reason it's also a reincarnation story?? It makes for a bland story.
