PEAK novel—no question. And it’s finally getting a manhwa adaptation!! Reading this felt like a full-on emotional rollercoaster I never wanted to get off. The kind of love in this story? It goes beyond definition, beyond logic. These two are incredibly complex—some might even question their dynamic—but to me, what they have exists far beyond black and white. If you can handle morally gray characters, this is not just a must-read… it’s an experience.
One of the most painful portrayals of unrequited love—from the MC/uke’s POV. He’s content just watching the one he loves be happy… even if it’s not with him. He never makes a move, yet does everything for the ML—at the cost of himself. It’s devastating.
If you want a story where your crush actually loves you back, add this to your list. The manhwa updates are slow, so read the novel—it’s worth it.
PLEASE READ THE NOVEL. The manhwa cuts so much of the emotion and kind of misrepresents the uke. This is unrequited love done right—it starts like they’re just the “second couple” in a childhood love triangle (MC is literally the outsider), but then the 2nd lead (ML) moves on and falls hard for him. Trust me, it hits different in the novel.
I’m obsessed with this. It’s a sequel so it can be confusing at first, but the dynamic is everything. The uke is a tsundere shaped by a rough, gangster-filled childhood—tough outside, soft inside. The ML is a rich, has-it-all type who gets intrigued by the MC and even makes a bet to make him fall. It’s already good, and I’m waiting for it to become great.
