This one is a Masterpiece, Mind and Heart fuck psychological look at what changes our idea of "our normal lives". What's normal? What society says? What we're used to? Can it change?
The mind is truly a scary thing. Reading, I wondered..if I'd grown up inside a basement windowless room for 30 years, food bowl slid through a slot, that'd be normal to me. I wouldn't bemoan my life, that is my life.
But if one day the door broke and I went outside, could I go back to my basement and not go insane?
My God". READ Chapter 1-2 -the god story. This is a MASTERPIECE- the story, words, actions, and feeling. A boy grew up in a cult with his parents, then a church with his sister, then a drug/money scam cult as a teen. His words " I can only love Men and God". A priest worried for him follows him. The dark world he follows will enlighten both...the priest devoted to the church teaching, and the teen who fanatically believes in one or another god, for happiness.
Who doesn't seek happiness?
Yes, it's easier to heal another than to heal yourself. Ryouichi always thought he and Kanata were too alike..but never thought they could be alike here too? This was good, sad, bittersweet but mainly psychological. Yes there's trauma, love, sadness, friendship. But the hard heart hitters are mental. They came together so closely as only they could understand the dark heavy burden of being mentally tormented, to help heal.
But..I wonder if they isolated even more and scarred each other even worse
I wonder if I indeed dance to Ogawa Chise. My soul felt like it was being pulled out my feet, and my heart was clenching in desperation. Even when it hurts, Ogawa Chise is one of the rare authors I love.
Less explicit, less taboo subject matters, but her writing becomes even more painful yet great to read. Yet still she's gotten darker, digging deeper, piercing harder.
I felt like I was IN the manga. Maybe thats what the best stories do- take you to another world and return you differently.
I really thought it was great. I didn't see how the yaoi was there until towards later and it's not smut, but it was something different and unique. It's psychological, intriguing, questions God and the Devil, the Supernatural. It's a very interesting story that tragedy leads to love. Dont want to give too many spoilers! Strength of mind, will, strength of faith, strength of love.... they can be bad or good, couldn't they?
This story is amazing, so deeply psychological. I don't want to give spoilers....but all people have parts that are like a flower. What is it to put yourself in a cage? An invisible cage, yet the hardest one to get out of since there is no lock to pick? If we are caged, maybe only another caged can see that you're trapped too.
No, there's no erase button, but deep darkness can make the tiny speck of life inside shine so brightly, to those who can see.
This is such a worthy story.
dear myself, then part of another eiki eiki then worlds end.
dear myself, then part of another eiki eiki then worlds end.
There are some great psychological aspects to this manga, with the conman bartender and the borderline sociopath business owner, who cant empathize... and it's also a great story and plot. Great manga
It's a one shot, and not an easy one, but in some ways it's hard to hate the older brother. He takes his younger brother as he is. And sees his good character. But yes, it's deeply physiological and twisted.
